November 8th: School Board District 3 Runoff Election

There will be a runoff election for the District 3 School Board seat.  The runoff will be between incumbent Kevin Hill and Heather Losurdo.

District 3 voters will vote again on Tuesday, November 8th.  If you’re already registered at your current address, you’re all set to vote!

More good news!!!

Registered and didn’t vote in the October 11th election?  You can still vote on November 8th. 

Is there Early Voting? Yes, you can vote at the Wake County Board of Elections–they allow early voting on Oct. 20 and 21, Oct 24-28, Oct. 31-Nov. 4 and on Saturday Nov. 5 from 10 am to 1 pm.

Can I still register to Vote? Yes, registering and voting at the same time can ONLY be done at an Early Voting site. You can register and vote at the same time at Wake County Board of Elections or in Garner during the early voting period. Early voting starts Thursday, October 20th and ends Saturday, November 5th. Please note: You cannot register and vote on Election Day–ONLY during early voting.

You can also request an absentee ballot to vote in this race.  The deadline to request an absentee ballot is 5 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1st.  Click here for more information.

There are Elections on October 11 and November 8?

That’s right!  When most people think of election day they think of November, but in Wake County there are local elections on October 11 and November 8.

The October 11 elections are for:

  • Wake County: Board of Education (aka the School Board)
  • Raleigh: Mayor, City Council Districts A, B, C, D, E, and 2 at-large seats
  • Cary: Mayor, Town Council Districts B, D and 1 at-large seat

The November 8 elections are for:

  • Apex: Mayor, Town Council (2 seats)
  • Fuquay-Varina: Mayor, Board of Commissioners (3 seats)
  • Garner: Mayor, Town Council (3 seats)
  • Holly Springs: Town Council (2 seats)
  • Knightdale: Mayor, Town Council (2 seats)
  • Morrisville: Town Council Districts 1, 3, and 2 at-large
  • Rolesville: Mayor, Board of Commissioners (2 seats)
